Skip the store-bought coffee concentrate and easily make your own Chocolate Almond coffee
I have this condition where I refuse to buy things at the grocery store that I know I can make myself.
You will hardly ever find these store-bought items in my house: hummus, pesto, guacamole, salad dressing, broth, salsa, tortillas, chocolate sauce, pie crust, flavored vodka, infused oils, vanilla extract, I could go on and on. But I won't; I'll just tell you that I am a homemaking freak.
I will never buy prepackaged spice mixes or boxed cake or instant pudding.
I just can't do it because I know I can make it myself. And like I said, I have a disorder that just won't let me put those things in my grocery cart.

What was something that I have previously purchased that now make myself...?
On a recent grocery store trip, I found myself reaching for a chocolate almond coffee concentrate to make my cup of afternoon iced coffee. That's it! I've made coffee concentrate before, but I needed to try making a new flavor. Chocolate Almond. Yum!
I happen to have all the ingredients to make it in my kitchen, so I made my cold brew coffee concentrate using my favorite coffee contraption {however, read my previous coffee concentrate post for how to make it without} and then I used some almond extract and leftover chocolate syrup I had.
So I usually don't put sweetener in my coffee concentrate but I really wanted to try the chocolate almond version. I was pleasantly surprised, and this totally satisfied my chocolate almond coffee craving.
My homemade loving freak rejoiced and celebrated with an extra cup of coffee.
