Hot Chocolate Mix in an Ornament!
Is this not the most adorable way to give a gift ever?!
I squealed when I saw how cute this genius idea was from Bubbly Nature Creations.
I just had to make it. I mean, who doesn't love hot chocolate?! and that presentation is genius.
I skipped the mini marshmallows and other extras because I wanted this to be a bit healthier.
You don't have to put this in ornaments but I just felt like it was too adorable not to.
It's easy enough to do and so cute. You just need a funnel or some wax paper to get the mix in the small opening.
I used clear glass ornaments from Michael's but you can also use plastic ones.
All you do is make the mix {add everything to a food processor and blend until smooth} then either add to a jar or put in ornaments. For the ornaments, add โ cup to the ornaments, so it will be for one serving. Then just tie on a little tag that says "Hot Chocolate Mix" and let them know how to make it: Add mix to a mug and stir in 1 cup of hot water or milk. Enjoy!
The entire hot chocolate mix recipe makes enough for 12 cups of hot chocolate. If you like it super chocolatey, then you can add another tablespoon of cocoa powder. You can also omit the chocolate chips but I love the addition of them.
Another few delicious idea would be adding some cinnamon and/or some vanilla bean powder.
So you can make this to keep in your house for when that chocolate craving strikes, or give to a friend as a fun Christmas gift. {It's great for kids}.
By the way, today {December 13} is National Cocoa Day ๐ Enjoy!
