Stay hydrated with this refreshing iced antioxidant tea. A combination of green tea and white tea boosts the flavor & the antioxidant powers of this beverage

Cold, refreshing iced tea is perfect in the summertime, and June happens to be Iced Tea Month.
If you're not always the best at drinking water throughout the day and need something a little more exciting, cold & ready... you'll love this tea.
Tea is really good for you too - hot or cold.
It couldn't be much easier to make iced tea, and there are also so many different options when it comes to making your own tea also. You are in control of what flavors to use.

My favorite is using a mixture of green & white tea. I like the addition of white tea because it is lighter and adds a boost of healthy antioxidants. Some people find green tea to be a little bitter, but it's sweeter when it's iced.
You're free to use whatever flavor your heart desires at the moment.
I like to use a combination of flavored tea with regular tea. I think it adds a little extra pizzazz to your tea and decreases the bitter flavor many people associate with tea {especially green}.

Iced Antioxidant Tea
Ingredients
- 4 bags green tea
- 4 bags white tea
- 4 cups very hot water {just below boiling}
- 2 lemons
- 4 cups ice water
- honey optional
- mint sprigs optional
- lemon sliced optional
Instructions
- Pour very hot water over all bags of tea, and let steep for at least 10 minutes. {The longer you steep, the stronger the tea gets and the more antioxidants are released. However, this can make it a little bitter if you are sensitive to that}
- Squeeze lemons into tea, and stir all together.
- Pour ice water over tea, and transfer to a large pitcher. Taste and add additional lemon juice or a little honey if desired. You can also add chopped mint.
- Serve tea over ice with mint springs & lemon slices if desired.

Remember to stay hydrated, especially in the summer!
