All about my trip to California, Summer 2014
I spent the past week in California with some of my family, and we had a blast!!!
I thought it might be fun to do a little recap of my trip in a blog post. I took over 400 pictures, so I had quite the tough time narrowing it down to just 40 pictures.
I didn't do captions for each photo, but I did for some just to give you an idea of some of the things we did on our fun-filled vacation. Oh, and my sister and I look alike, so I thought it would be helpful to distinguish the two of us ha.
We packed a lot of Cali in a 4 day trip, never staying in the same hotel for more than one night.
The first day, we attended one of my cousin, Jenny's, wedding in the most perfect setting ~ the Mather Redwood Grove at the UC Botanical Garden in Berkeley.

the most incredible wedding buffet ever!
Day Two: We hopped in our rental cars and ventured to Healdsburg for some winery visits...
First stop was the Francis Ford Coppola winery for wine tastings and lunch at Rustic {the restaurant there}. Next we went to Ferrari-Carano Winery for another round of tasting; then we went into the town of Healdsburg for one last impromptu wine tasting at Rosenblum Cellars

On the third day, we mounted the GoPro on the hood of the car and took the scenic route to Mendocino. We traveled through more wineries, winding roads, and the redwoods. I did not document this trek through the woods since I felt terribly car sick we had the GoPro taking videos {which are awesome}.
We took some photos in the Mendocino State Park and ate some lunch. Then we drove a few miles to our glorious spot for the night - the Little River Inn. The views from our rooms were beyond incredible, and we all just sat on the porch, sipped some Rose 'N' Blum Bubbly Moscato Rosé {my new favorite}, and enjoyed each others company with spectacular views & weather. Then we enjoyed a yummy dinner at the inn {I never wanted to leave}.

On our last day, we drove to San Francisco and did fun touristy things: drove over the Golden Gate Bridge, visited Fisherman's Wharf, rode the cable car, walked through Union Square, and shopped.

I felt sad to leave but so happy that I got to do so much in just 4 short days. I can't wait to go back!
