Super simple Sparkling Cranberry Apple Orange Cocktail or Mocktail needs only 4 ingredients; plus, it can be thrown together in minutes and made ahead of time. There is no added sugar in these drinks, and they are a great idea for a budget-friendly Christmas, New Year's Eve, or any holiday party beverage
While there's always a good time for a cocktail (or a mocktail), New Year's Eve seems to be the perfect time to find a new fun one to include in your festivities.
This one really could not be easier. Stir together equal parts of three juices (make sure to use 100% juice).
Then add the juice mixture to the champagne glasses and top with sparkling wine or sparkling water. Done!
I'd love to pretend like I'm a juice-genius -- oh, wait! I am! But I have to be honest when I tell you that this "recipe" was a happy accident.
I planned to do a Facebook Live post on fun cocktails & mocktails to make for new year's eve, but something in my brain didn't click and I forgot to plan what I'd make. Cue mini-freakout when I realized I had 90 minutes until my Facebook live broadcast.
My initial reaction was to coax my nephew into joining me for a trip to the grocery store, something he was less than enthused about since I had opted to stay with him at home as his mom & sister ran some errands.
In an effort to not have to rush to the store, I searched my sister's cabinets and fridge for some inspiration. As luck would have it she had orange juice, apple juice, and cranberry juice in her kitchen!
Since I'd be going live on Facebook at 11:30am, I felt it unnecessary to pop open a bottle of bubbly (alcoholic bubbly that is) so I went on the search for some sparkling water. Unlike my juice options, I wasn't given much choice. I hate tonic water and didn't really want to use Sprite. Then I found some Fresca and decided it'd be perfect for this mocktail.
So I mixed everything together and convinced my nephew that his only two options were to either go with me to the grocery store or to try this drink. He was hesitant to try it but took a sip and was pleasantly surprised!
Two glasses later and I knew I had a winner.
And with that, we have an easy-peasy, tasty cocktail! This can be made ahead of time and can serve as many or as few as you'd like. If you have extra, pour the juice mixture into ice cube trays and freeze for later.
They're great to add to champagne to keep it cold or sparkling water for more flavor.
Cheers! And Happy New Year!
