Freeze wine to make this easy Wine Slushy that's a refreshing & fun summertime drink

Wine Slushy from Living Well Kitchen

Happy National Wine Day! and happy almost summer!! I love Memorial Day because it's the start of summer and always gets me excited for the hot warm weather to come and lots of outdoor fun.

What better way to celebrate both of those things than with a wine slushy (i.e. the easiest thing ever)?

Answer: there is no better way to celebrate.

Wine Slushy from Living Well Kitchen

I love all types of wine, but it's hard for me to enjoy a glass of red in the summertime.

I usually just want white or sparkling or something like that because it's served chilled.

    Can you freeze wine?

Yes! If you freeze wine (no matter what color), you get a slushy, refreshing beverage that only requires one step: freezing your wine in ice trays. That's it.

Just pour some wine into an ice cube tray, freeze, then pop the wine ice into a cup and use a fork or spoon to make it into a slushy.

It's also a great way to use up wine if you only have a glass or two.

Instead of letting it sit on your counter or in the fridge, pour it into ice cube trays.

When you're ready to enjoy, you can pop a few into a cup and turn it into your refreshing wine slushy.

For about 8 ounces, you'll need about 8 cubes of wine ice.

And there you have it, the perfect way to usher in the warmer months and celebrate national wine day. Woohoo!

My Memorial Day weekend just got upgraded - who knew wine froze so well and turned into a beautiful looking slushy? Warmer weather totally warrants frozen adult beverages. This looks perfect!

This is INCREDIBLE, Meme! I had no idea that a wine slushy was so easy to make... and now, I'm going to be doing this ALL SUMMER because frozen wine sounds like the best way to combat the summer heat.

Thanks so much for participating in the Great Blogger BBQ with us today. This has been SO much fun! I hope you and yours have a lovely holiday weekend!
