Chill the mixing bowl and beaters. Add the cold whipping cream to the bowl and whip for about 90 seconds until soft peaks form. Whipped cream should stand up on it’s own. Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate.
Add the cold yogurt, sugar, and vanilla extract to the mixing bowl, and whip for 60 seconds. Taste and add extra sugar if desired.
Fold in the whipped cream, trying not to break down the whipped cream. Refrigerate.
For the fruit flag:
On a large rectangular serving tray, arrange the blueberries in a square shape in the top left corner.
Make 3 or 4 stripes of watermelon for the red stripes on the flag.
Spoon the whipped cream evenly in layers between the watermelon.
Optional: spoon about 1/2 cup whipped cream into a zip top bag. Cut a small piece of a corner or the bag off to make a "piping bag" and put a few dots in the blueberries to make the stars on your flag.
Serve immediately or refrigerate or freeze before serving. Enjoy!
*You can use whatever whipped cream desired. You'll need about 3 cups.*You'll need about 1/4 large watermelon (for 6 cups) and about 12 oz blueberries (for 2 cups)
