A homemade version of the easy cookies using boxed cake. This recipe is a great substitute if you don't have boxed cake mix or are looking to avoid boxed cake
½cupsred, white, & blue jimmie sprinkles{or any color you want}
2tablespoonnonpareil sprinkles or colored sugar
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375ºF.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix the butter and sugar together until it looks fluffy & well combined.
Add the vanilla extract, almond extract, and egg. Beat on low until well combined.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flours, cornstarch, soda, and salt. Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, and mix on low until everything is combined. Add in the sprinkles, and mix just until incorporated.
Scoop cookie dough into about 2 inch balls and place on cookie sheets, about 1 inch apart. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the edges of the cookie are slightly golden.
Let cool on baking sheet 2 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
