Ingredients
12ounceschicken sausage, sliced
6cupsshredded cabbageabout ½ small cabbage
3tablespoonswater
2teaspoonsmustard
Instructions
Preheat a skillet to medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook in one even layer for 5 minutes, until browned on one side.
Stir and add in shredded cabbage. Stir often for about 5 minutes until cabbage is lightly browned and wilted.
Add water and mustard and stir to completely coat the sausage & cabbage.
Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
Serve with baked or roasted potatoes or over cooked rice or quinoa. Enjoy!
Notes
*You can add additional veggies or use another green in place of the cabbage, like spinach or kale. *Make sure your sausage is dairy free if needed.*Any mustard works. Recipe was tested using spicy mustard, yellow mustard, as well as dijon mustard instead of spicy mustard.*Makes about 3 cups.
