A simple & sensational steak salad that is free of the top 8 allergens. You certainly will not feel deprived with all the flavor and toppings on this delicious salad!
15ozblack beansrinsed & drained {preferably low sodium or no salt added}
1mediumroasted red bell pepperchopped
10ozspring mixor other lettuce
Instructions
For the dressing:
Add all of the dressing ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Taste and add extra lime juice and/or salt, if needed.
For the salad:
Add the steak and ¼ cup dressing to a zip-top bag and let marinate for 15-30 minutes.
When ready to cook, heat a heavy skillet over medium-high. Remove steak from marinade {discard marinade} and add steak to hot skillet.
Let cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side {until it easily pulls away from the skillet and doesn't stick}. Flip and cook about 2-5 minutes, depending on desired doneness. Let rest for about 5-10 minutes.
Meanwhile, toss together about ¼ cup Cilantro Lime dressing with the beans, roasted red bell pepper, and lettuce.
Slice steak and serve over salad with additional dressing, if desired. Enjoy!
